From countryside markets to mountain views, this trip delivers a relaxed yet adventurous day trip in Ontario. It’s an especially great pick for a slower-paced winter getaway, and we highly recommend booking a hotel at the finishing stop to turn it into a weekend escape.

Itinerary

STOP 1

Start your day at a cozy countryside market with fresh baked treats and some cool winter air. Drive time to the second stop is 35 minutes.

STOP 2

A historic town with plenty of photo-worthy spots and incredible carrot cake, perfect for wandering main streets at your own pace. Drive time to your third stop is 20 minutes.

STOP 3

Choose between a short hike surrounded by crevices and caves or settling in at a cozy cider spot (Saturdays only in the winter months). Drive time to the fourth stop is 25 minutes.

STOP 4

End the day in a waterfront town known for its outdoor activities, funky shops, and delicious restaurants, plus a mountaintop skating rink! If travelling on a Sunday, there will be limited restaurant options available at the fourth stop.

This trip can be done throughout the year from Wednesday - Saturday. If travelling on a Sunday, there will be limited restaurant options available on the fourth stop. We do not recommend travelling on a Monday or Tuesday.

We recommend leaving anytime between 8 am - 9 am.

This trip is somewhat dog friendly!

The trip includes patio options for when it's warm & takeaway that work well for your pet. However, if you bring your furry friend, you will be unable to bring them into any of our indoor suggestions.

We recommend bringing between 2- 5 people on your surprise road trip adventure.

Third Stop: One hiking option on your third stop requires a $10 / vehicle parking fee. A free suggestion is available.
