An Unusual Adventure Indeed

This was such a cool trip. I bought this for my best friend as a Christmas present. We love getting out and exploring new places and this trip did not disappoint! It took us to places we’ve never even heard of but were close to us. The actual addresses of some of the stops were wrong though. We had to type in the name of the place in our GPS because using just the addresses took us to places that were definitely off the beaten path…. Literally. Overall though, I would definitely recommend this trip and I can’t wait to try a different one and see where they take us!

A fun adventure to places we never knew about

We completed part of this adventure yesterday and had a blast! We had never even heard of these places but it was so fun to read about their history and then explore.

I will say, double check hours and such before doing the drives. The recommended start time was 10, the one stop in the first envelope didn't even open until 12. The main stop in envelope one had an aspect that was only open 1 day a week for a couple of hours. In the second envelope there is a stop that does 2 guided tours a day but we missed them both. You can all tell that these are printed far in advance because one of the stops had been closed for almost a year and was still in the paper copy (it wasn't on the pdf, but we didn't want to spoil it for ourselves so we didnt scan it until the start of each stop). I understand the mass production of the kits, but I do think they can print off a sticker and pop it on envelope 2 that says "fyi, ... this option is currently closed" or pop a printed slip in there explaining that.

Overall, all the options sounded fun and we made plans to go back to the spots we missed because it was too much for one day.

Thank you so much for leaving a review and providing your feedback. You're right that we print our road trips in batches and that sometimes mean that things change or close after the booklets have been printed. We do always recommend checking the Travel Updates before heading out, as that won't spoil the surprise but will at least let you know that there have been updates to the trip. We're so glad you still had a great time out and we hope you get to check out the remaining locations another day! :)

Some hits, some misses

The first part of the trip was a little underwhelming - we did mistakenly miss the on the way stop that was recommended which I fully intend of going back and doing maybe this fall. The last couple of stops on the trip were great and I really enjoyed seeing them. Overall it was still a great way to spend the day and enjoy the sunshine.

Amazing day out!

My fiance and I had a great day exploring. We left around 10am and got home around 5pm. There were plenty of options, including great food and drinks. We visited places that were ~30 min away that we never would have gone without this guide. Highly recommend!

Unique Finds That We Would Have Never Picked Ourselves

I love a good plan and I love it even more when I do not have to do the planning! From the suggested departure times to when we could expect to spend money/buy food to including additional activities and stops, Guess Where Trips really thought of all the details. There were so many pros, its hard to capture them in just one review - the biggest one has to be exploring an area we never would have otherwise. The only "con" (I use that term lightly) is that it was advertised as a paranormal tour and while there was certainly some rich history, we did not hear anything about ghosts, outside of the brief NJ Devil tale. With that said, we will be back to hit up the trails and stops we did not get to complete - 2 trips for the price of one!
