Itinerary

STOP 1

Welcome to one of our favourite towns in Ontario. Here we recommend a variety of sights, restaurants and hidden gems. Drive time to the second stop is 21 minutes.

STOP 2

The second stop takes you to one of the best views around. We've also recommended an optional hike if you feel like stretching your legs. Drive time to the third stop is 4 minutes.

STOP 3

Ready for lunch? We've recommended quite a variety of quaint lunch spots and a winery to choose from. Drive time to the fourth stop is 26 minutes.

STOP 4

End your day with a stop at a scenic historic attraction. Already want to come back? We've recommended a few additional day trip ideas.

Please see the approximate driving distances below. Please note this just includes round-trip driving distances and not time spent at stops.

  • From Ottawa: 3 hours and 26 minutes / 276 km
  • From Kingston: 2 hours and 46 minutes / 195 km
  • From Belleville: 4 hours and 5 minutes / 333 km

This itinerary is best used from Wednesday to Sunday, between mid-May to October. Can be done in the wintertime; however, stop #4 will be closed.

Note that one winery on stop #3 has limited hours in the winter and is closed on Wednesdays year-round.

We recommend leaving anytime between 8 am-9 am.

You can bring your pup on All The Pretty Things!

The trip includes patio options for when it's warm & takeaway that work well for your pet. There will also be at least one dog-friendly activity at each stop. If you bring your furry friend, you will be unable to bring them into any indoor suggestions.

We recommend bringing between 2- 5 people on your surprise road trip adventure.

The second stop requires a $7 day pass/parking fee. There is another optional add-on at Stop 1 that also requires this fee.

Autumn beauty

My family explored “All the Pretty Things” one Saturday just last weekend. The trees were still lovely and the weather was perfect! The only stops we could not take part in, leaving at this time of year, we’re the Rideau Tours and Kiwi Gardens.
Even if you have been to the destinations before, you still get to explore places within you might not have otherwise.
Lovely time, lovely day, lovely company.

So easy, great to get out of the rut!

This trip helped us get out of town and on the road. We have our typical spots but we were so surprised to find some delicious new spots! Absolutely recommend.

This was a good trip only down fall is one stop we couldn’t take the dogs but over good and a great day out
