Itinerary

STOP 1

Start your day with a sky-high view, then take your pick between a peaceful waterfall trail or a visit with furry friends. The drive time to the second stop is 14 minutes.

STOP 2

Visit a beloved local market, grab a donut or two, and snap selfies with fairy tale statues. Or, escape to a dreamy indoor butterfly garden. The drive time to the third stop is 15 minutes.

STOP 3

Pick between a winding trail with tumbling cascades or an enchanting forest where centuries-old trees reach toward the sky. The drive time to the fourth stop is 15-30 minutes.

STOP 4

Time to choose your own adventure! Wrap up the day with a hidden waterfall hike, a stop at a retro candy shop, or a riverside bite and beverage. It's your call!

From Nanaimo:

2 hours and 45 minutes / 188 km

From Duncan:

3 hours and 55 minutes / 287 km

From Victoria*:

5 hours and 40 minutes / 408 km

*We recommend making this into an overnight getaway if your drive time exceeds 4 hours round-trip.

This itinerary can be done any day of the week between mid-March to December.

Note that one optional suggestion on stop #2 is closed from mid-October until mid-March. We do not recommend travelling between January - early March.

We recommend departing around 9 am if you’re coming from Nanaimo, and an hour earlier if you’re coming from Victoria. This is a fantastic overnight getaway from Victoria too!

This trip is somewhat dog-friendly! There is at least one pup-friendly option on every stop; however, most options are outdoor suggestions, so please keep in mind the weather. Some of our eat/drink suggestions offer dog-friendly patios.
