My wife and I spent 2 days on our rural adventure and we both quite enjoyed it.
We saw places that we had seen before but never stopped and explored. The prehistoric landscapes in this area are definitely unique! Thanks to my daughter for signing us up for this little adventure!
We turned this 1 day event into a 2 day road trip!
We've lived in the area all our lives (50 year olds here) and we finally made it to places we've either passed by a thousand times, or museums we were not familiar with! Without giving too much away, there's something on this trip for everyone! Sweet treats, history, beautiful scenery, a pint or 2 and the beauty of nature and all her creatures.... We will definitely be purchasing another trip in the near future! Highly recommend!
We loved this trip as it included many things we never would have found on our own! A bonus find was the Edward Gorey House close to one of the stops - we LOVED the book store that was recommended here and had fun exploring the cemetary. 10/10 would recommend - already looking at getting another trip to explore a different part of MA.
Great day with friends - a bit of travel - a bit of walking - fun stops- food stops- beautiful stops- unique stop!! A full day and a few treats to take home too as well as photos and new memories.
Came from London, so yes this is a long drive (I knew that already from the "Before You Go" booklet). But the first stop was so neat and such a hidden gem! Love the cafe on the first stop too; will definitely go back. Stop2 and 3 were cute small towns with great options for lunch and short hikes. And stop 4 had everything from beaches to patios to shopping and more! Highly recommend if you're coming to Bruce County!
Every stop was better than the last. Totally relaxing and a charm-filled day. What a wonderful surprise to visit the places where Schitt's Creek was filmed! I am a HUGE fan and was beyond trilled. I thought nothing could top that until we went to Port Perry. What a wonderful place. I would recommend that travellers go to both Uxbridge and Port Perry as both should not be missed. We initially were going to go to Old Flame Brewery for dinner but it was very loud and overcrowded and smelled very funny inside. The patio was not very pretty. We opted to go to Jester's and it was perfect! Charming, friendly, beautiful patio, wonderful service and great food. We will return for sure to Port Perry. It is only one hour and 15 minutes away from home but it felt like it was far away from our every day and a grand adventure. We purchased this tour at the One of a Kind show in November in Toronto but didn't go until July 12. For months I looked forward to the surprises and I was not disappointed. Thank you for a perfect day!
We had a very fun time exploring a part of Ontario we didn't know about! We stayed in one of the boutique hotels recommended and we were glad we did!
My partner and I had so much fun discovering new spots in our region that we had no idea that existed. All were unique and definitely quirky like the trip name. It was the perfect pace. It's very active so make sure to bring good shoes and lots of bug spray.
The mix of trails and art was such a wonderful way to spend a Saturday with the family. Everyone had a great time and it was the perfect mini adventure to explore new parts of the state … but only an hour away from home!
We loved taking this adventure. Throughly enjoyed someone else researching the feature stops. Great day!!
We hiked longer than planned. Sat in the Lavender field sipping wine .. longer than planned. lol
So now we do stop #3 and #4 another day.
My husband and I were due for date and I saw this product advertised. Living in the DFW area, there were two road trip choices. We purchased both options but did this one today.
The instructions and information were spot on and gave many different options per stop. The presentation and mystery were so fun…definitely go with receiving the paper envelopes vs PDFs (it adds to the experience). All four stops were great and took us to places we had never heard of. It was a wonderful date and I can’t wait to try more. I am hoping they continue to add more options and locations because this is a great gift idea for friends and family!
Loved the surprise aspect of the trip, and the waterfalls didn't disappoint! Fabulous lunch at The Gate in Flesherton ... Named one of Canada's 100 Best Restaurants 2025 and Top 10 New Restaurants in Canada.
So nice to do a trip without the thinking!
The Bakery in the first stop in Gravenhurst was beyond amazing. The donuts were huge and fresh and so cheap. The Peninsula Trail was also a great little spot as well.
Hardy Lake Provincial park was such a leisurely hike, beautiful and peaceful. Great tip about the bathing suits. So nice to go for a dip and sun tan on a big rock.
We went to the feature stop on the third stop- Clear Lake Brewing Co. Now while the beer was very good, the stop was a little disappointing and food was a little over priced for what it was. We wish we had gone to Jack and Stella in Bala! Suchhhh a cute town. Jack and Stella have a beautiful little bar in the back, with some delicious cocktails and a good beer selection, and, of course you can’t beat being right on the water. It would have been nice to know they served. There was so many nice shops, bakery’s and a little donut stand right beside Jack and Stella. The Bala Falls were really cool and lots of history.
For the fourth stop, we were so tired and running out of time. We had been to Port Carling before and loved Turtle Jacks, so we opted for Muskoka Lakes Farm and Winery and were a little disappointed. Although the history behind it was very interesting, the place was completely dead and it took away from the fun of the afternoon.
All in all, it was an amazing day and I’m so excited to do another Guess Where Trip in the future!
Great trip, especially the cheese and coffee stops.
We added a late lunch at the St Mary’s Golf Course……great restaurant….food and atmosphere)
