Itinerary

STOP 1

A historic Canadian city filled with photo ops and a quick coffee pit stop. Drive time to the second stop is 20 minutes.

STOP 2

This next stop is all about 'taking the scenic route' and enjoying the view. Drive time to the third stop is 25 minutes.

STOP 3

The third stop provides you with a view more scenic lookouts and hikes to get the best viewpoints. Drive time to the fourth stop is 10 minutes.

STOP 4

End your day at this charming waterfront town. We've recommended our favourite things to do, to eat and to drink!

  • From Kingston: 2 hours and 56 minutes / 256 km
  • From Ottawa: 3 hours and 27 minutes / 332 km
  • From Winchester: 2 hours and 5 minutes / 150 km
  • From Gatineau: 3 hours and 49 minutes / 294 km

This itinerary can be used any day of the week and we recommend travelling in the Spring, Summer or Fall.

Can be used in the winter; however, our featured suggestion on stop #1 is closed from mid-October to mid-April. Some trails may not be maintained in the wintertime.

We recommend leaving anytime between 8 am-9 am.

You can bring your furry friend, but it may limit you from going into some of the recommended stops. Please always keep your dog on a leash.

We recommended bringing up to 5 people on your surprise road trip. If you're bringing a larger group, we highly recommend having one person in charge of booking reservations at the restaurants and attractions in advance. In your confirmation email, you'll receive a copy of the itinerary.

There are no required entrance fees required on this trip.

A delightful day!

We had the opportunity to do this trip this past Sunday. Thank goodness the weather cooperated and did not rain. We had the best time. This trip is definitely one for people that enjoy doing things outside and is one of the more active trips we have done so far. Loved it! Cannot wait for our next adventure.

Kingston Scenic Tour

This would have been a great trip except the weather was not good and several of the places on it were not open yet so could not do the trails. I would recommend it closer to summer. My ratings reflect these circumstances.

Great scenic route

I've driven this route a thousand times and have never thought to stop along the way. Found a bunch of cool hikes restaurants and other places. Can be done in reverse if heading from Toronto - Ottawa.

Great road trip idea

Took this on a day where we were driving our son back to Queens (from our home in Ottawa) for the new school year, made the drive more fun and gave us some nice memories before parting ways. Customer service is great too, they suggested this or All The Pretty Things, which we'll try next. 5 out of 5.
