Itinerary

STOP 1

Discover a historic neighborhood with a warm coffee in hand, or stretch your legs on a short (but beautiful) boardwalk that’s especially striking in winter. Drive time to the second stop is 15 minutes.

STOP 2

It’s time to pick your park. Choose between another boardwalk trail, botanical gardens, or a nature center that’s great for a bundled-up wander. Drive time to the third stop is 22 minutes.

STOP 3

By now, you’re probably ready for lunch or a warm drink. A small town filled with cafés, breweries, and cute shops is waiting. Drive time to the fourth stop is 20 minutes.

STOP 4

Wrap things up in a town with a cheeky name - check it off your bucket list or take one last stroll along a charming main street to end the day on a relaxed note.

*We recommend booking an overnight hotel if the driving distance is greater than 4 hours round-trip.

Available to depart between Wednesday - Saturday anytime throughout the year. Can be done on a Sunday or Tuesday; however, a few options will be closed. We do not recommend traveling on a Monday!

We recommend departing between 9:30 - 10 am if you’re coming from Detroit/Windsor, or depart between 9 - 9:30 am if you’re coming from Flint, Lansing or Toledo, OH areas.

This trip is somewhat pet-friendly! At every stop there will be at least one option for you to explore with your furry friend. However, please note that most cafe and shop suggestions will only allow pets on outdoor patios. Please coordinate with the weather.

We recommend bringing between 2- 5 people on your surprise road trip adventure.
