Please note that a small number of suggestions on this trip are shared with The Whimsical Route and Vistas & Caves. But, they are still super fun to explore during the festive season, even if you've been before!

Itinerary

STOP 1

Kick off your adventure with a cozy hot drink as you soak in a charming holiday photo spot. While you're there, browse for that special gift to complete your shopping list. Drive time to the second stop is 15 minutes.

STOP 2

Explore a picturesque town that pulls out all the stops for the holidays, or swing by a local farm market to stock up on seasonal goodies. Drive time to your third stop is 20 minutes.

STOP 3

If you’re still looking for the perfect Christmas Tree, you’re bound to find one at this stop! Drive time to your fourth stop is 20 minutes.

STOP 4

Wrap up your holiday journey with a delightful choice! Depending on your route, you can wander through a quaint small town, visit a stunning lavender farm shop, or warm up with local brews—perfect for savoring the season.

*We recommend booking an overnight hotel if the driving distance is greater than 4 hours round-trip.

This trip is best done between Wednesday - Saturday from November 16th - December 22nd, 2024. Can be done on a Sunday; however, a few options on stop #4 will be closed.

If you do this trip outside of the festive season, a few of the options will be closed. We’ve provided some year-round alternatives just in case!

We recommend departing between 9 - 9:30 am. The later you leave, the less time you’ll have to explore all of the stops.

This trip is unfortunately not pet-friendly. We recommend leaving your furry friend at home for the day.

We recommend bringing between 2- 5 people on your surprise road trip adventure.

Oh so festive!

I was lucky enough to get to test out this road trip ahead of their launch, and it truly got me into the holiday spirit! There are so many fantastic spots to explore, including the most unique shops and markets where I found tons of great gift ideas. This is the perfect day trip to enjoy with your loved ones and get into the festive vibes!
