Itinerary

STOP 1

Welcome to one of our favourite towns in Ontario. Here we recommend a variety of sights, restaurants and hidden gems. Drive time to the second stop is 21 minutes.

STOP 2

The second stop takes you to one of the best views around. We've also recommended an optional hike if you feel like stretching your legs. Drive time to the third stop is 4 minutes.

STOP 3

Ready for lunch? We've recommended quite a variety of quaint lunch spots and a winery to choose from. Drive time to the fourth stop is 26 minutes.

STOP 4

End your day with a stop at a scenic historic attraction. Already want to come back? We've recommended a few additional day trip ideas.

Please see the approximate driving distances below. Please note this just includes round-trip driving distances and not time spent at stops.

  • From Ottawa: 3 hours and 26 minutes / 276 km
  • From Kingston: 2 hours and 46 minutes / 195 km
  • From Belleville: 4 hours and 5 minutes / 333 km

This itinerary is best used from Wednesday to Sunday, between mid-May to October. Can be done in the wintertime; however, stop #4 will be closed.

Note that one winery on stop #3 has limited hours in the winter and is closed on Wednesdays year-round.

We recommend leaving anytime between 8 am-9 am.

Unfortunately, this trip is not dog-friendly. We recommend leaving your furry friends at home for the day.

We recommend bringing between 2- 5 people on your surprise road trip adventure.

Pretty Things

Great trip but too many places to experience in just one day. Recommend one night stay and complete in the second day. Try to catch the music festivals in Westport during this trip.

Thank you so much for your kind review! :) We always like to provide a variety of options, but usually recommend just choosing 1 or 2 things to do per stop. Definitely worth making this an overnight trip if you want to try to do everything!
