This trip is best done from fall - spring! While you can travel in the summertime, note that the waterfalls may slow to a trickle or dry up completely with the hot weather.

We recommend leaving between 9:00 - 9:30 am (or slightly earlier if you’re coming from downtown Toronto).

This trip is somewhat dog-friendly! On each stop, there is an outdoor option that allows dogs.

However, most of our eatery and shop options only allow dogs on seasonal outdoor patios, so we recommend coordinating with the weather. In the wintertime, you will be limited to our outdoor options only if you bring your pup.

We recommend bringing 2 - 5 people on your surprise road trip adventure.

The Sweet & Scenic Route

This trip was amazing. We prebooked accommodations the night before so that we could start the day fresh. We stayed at the Bonnybank Bed & breakfast near Vineland which was a perfect choice for us. Carla is very accommodating and her historical house on the Twenty Mile creek provided an extra bonus for history buffs. It is located next to the Owl Sanctuary which was very interesting as we listened to the owls call during the evening. The Trip package was very well laid out giving us options. We loved the hikes and the wineries but also loved the choice. After indulging in one winery it was good to do a hike. For those who truly indulge in all the wineries it is strongly recommended to find accommodations that night as it was long drive home for us afterwards.

Thank you so much for leaving a review! :) We're so happy you had a great time exploring this area, it is such a hidden gem!

A great experience!

I love how many options and opportunities there was exploring and taking the day as it came. I love that you had choice and heads up for what was to come without spoiling the surprise. The description was exactly as described and my husband and I had so much fun!

My only feedback would be a little bit more information on food options for those of us with dietary restrictions as we had to do a bit of extra googling to find the best options for us.

Great suggestions on places to visit. We loved the hikes. Both waterfalls we visited her completely dry. Being local, we were finished the entire tour by lunch time, but took the opportunity to visit additional stops we hadn’t visited before. While in Fonthill we visited Font Coffee Bar instead of the suggested stops (amazing spot!)

Thank you for your review! We would love to know more about how we could have made this a 5 star experience for you, please feel free to share your feedback with us at questions@guesswheretrips.com :)
