WHAT TO EXPECT

Start your day in a picture-perfect town by the river before strolling along boardwalks, dining at a funky distillery, indulging at farm shops and so much more. This trip is a nice distance from the city and can be done year-round!

Itinerary

STOP 1

Start your day in a town by the river. Grab a coffee and explore a few shops set in a historic mill from the 1800s. Drive time to the second stop is 13 minutes.

STOP 2

It’s time to stretch your legs! Here, we recommend two trails of varying lengths. One even lets you feed chickadees out of your hand. Drive time to the third stop is 5 minutes.

STOP 3

Up next? A farm distillery, brewery & restaurant all in one. If you're not in the mood, we recommend a funky country market instead. Drive time to the fourth stop is 15 minutes.

STOP 4

Choose between a couple of breweries, a riverside stroll with a connection to Hollywood, a gorgeous historic spot, or a farm for local goodies and furry friends.

Wonderful Anniversary Trip

The stops were so cute and close together it was easy to do multiple in one stop if we wanted to. We very much enjoyed this trip as our anniversary getaway and made quite the day out of it. The one thing I will say, is the restaurant recommended at stop 3 is closed Friday afternoons and Saturdays, so just be aware of that but overall amazing trip :)

As far as we're aware, both our featured distillery option and the 'Travel Tip' restaurant are open on Fridays & Saturdays, so perhaps you travelled when they happened to be closed for a special event? Great surprise trip!

This was our first Guess Where trip and we truly enjoyed the various stops and suggestions along the route. I enjoyed not having to plan a trip for once. Lol! We’ll definitely try another trip in the near future.

Full of delightful surprises

I was hopeful but skeptical heading into the trip as I'd done a lot of southern Ontario day trips and exploration, so while I was confident I would enjoy the locations, I wasn't sure how good a find they would be. But every stop was new to me, and the recommendations for food, shops, and sights if interest were hits. Both with my and kids (12 and 14).

Great trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed Riverside Roaming. The bugs at stop no. 2 were really bad the day we went, but we just shortened that stop and enjoyed more of the options at stop no. 4 as a result.
