Fun day tripping around

We were pleasantly thrilled with the whimsical route. Only disappointing problem we encountered was when we went to the second stop it was to be a restaurant and they were busy. It’s a chance you take but would have been nice to be able to experience the restaurant that was reccommmded as part of the trip. They wouldn’t accomodate us for lunch.

We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and stayed at Back Forty Glamping for a few nights. We planned the Whimsical Route as a starting point to explore the area. It was a great day trip and we thoroughly enjoyed all the stops on this trip! Thanks for a very memorable anniversary!

Really enjoyed this!…

We live in Toronto and wanted a relatively short trip (accounting for Toronto’s terrible traffic problem) and this route hit the nail on the head. The first stop was really great! We’d never heard of this conservation area and enjoyed the trails and stunning rock formations. Really a unique spot! Stop 2 was also a beautiful and new place for us and we had a wonderful lunch and walk around. Such friendly locals we even got a sneak peek in the church and a history lesson - the highlight of our trip for sure. Stop 3 was a little underwhelming. Definitely a place we never knew existed and we are glad we went but it’s not somewhere we’d go back to, and certainly check to see if this stop is closed. We got there and saw signage it’s closed Friday May 9. Stop 4 was a bust tbh. 3 of the locations weren’t open on Wednesday and the others didn’t seem worth the drive - but that’s just our opinion and somewhat formed by the fact we knew we needed to get back across the city and traffic would be bad. Despite this, I have to say we were thoroughly impressed by the entire package. The envelopes are so exciting to open, and it’s really well done in terms of directions and suggestions. We’ve already bought our next one and we are 100% getting more to take our kids on kid friendly routes as well Guess Where Trips…bravo! BRAVO!

Hi Sarah! Thank you so much for your feedback; it is so valuable to us! We're so glad that you had an overall good experience, and hopefully you'll be able to go back to some of the locations on stop #4 that you missed this time around (I highly recommend the pizza at the suggested cidery!). Thanks for being a GWT fan!
