What to expect

Your package also includes a SportChek gift card, free skate sharpening at your local SportChek Service Shop, two Ripzone toques or mitts, and a $20 gift card to help cover costs at your last stop. Packages will be shipped out before December 12th and will arrive before Christmas. Gift cards and coupons from Guess Where Trips cannot be applied to this product.

Itinerary

Stop 1

Start your day in a historic village just outside of the city. Pick up a coffee at a local cafe, and head out on a 10-minute winter stroll to see some iconic Canadian sculptures. If you’re coming from another city outside of the GTA, we have recommended alternative coffee shops that will be on route.

Drive time to the second stop is: 25 minutes

Stop 2

Hit the trails with a pair of snowshoes or cross-country skis. Feel free to pack your own gear or renting is available at $20/per person. The trails can also be done with good winter boots.

Drive time to the third stop is: 5 minutes

Stop 3

It’s time for a break! Fuel up at one of two recommended lunch stops. Choose between a delicious quick-serve cafe or take a longer break in a cozy historic brewpub.

Stop 4

Your last stop you can ‘choose your own winter adventure.’ Choose between snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or ice skating. Their lakeside trails are also open year-round if there’s not enough snow on the ground. This park has nine natural skating rinks available. If you’d like to rent your own for the hour, we recommend reserving this in advance (reservation instructions will be included in the Before You Go envelope). After your winter activity, support local by heading to a couple of the cute shops nearby.

This trip can be taken anytime between December – March. Snowshoeing and skating won’t be available during the month of December, but we’ve provided an alternative option during this time.

We recommend leaving anytime between 8 – 9 am.

This is not a pet-friendly trip.

We recommend bringing up to five people. Some of the food stops along the way have a maximum capacity of five people per seating area.

The second and fourth stops have an entrance fee of $6.50/per person. Snowshoe or cross-country ski rentals are $20/person (or free if you brought your own). SportChek has provided a $20 gift card that will help cover costs at the fourth stop.
