Itinerary

STOP 1

Start your day in a town by the river. Grab a coffee and explore a few shops set in a historic mill from the 1800s. Drive time to the second stop is 13 minutes.

STOP 2

It’s time to stretch your legs! Here, we recommend two trails of varying lengths. One even lets you feed chickadees out of your hand. Drive time to the third stop is 5 minutes.

STOP 3

Up next? A farm distillery, brewery & restaurant all in one. If you're not in the mood, we recommend a funky country market instead. Drive time to the fourth stop is 15 minutes.

STOP 4

Your last stop has you exploring a few gems in a small riverside city. Choose between a couple of breweries, places to eat, or a riverside stroll with a connection to Hollywood.

GWT - Riverside Roaming

Amazing! There was enough in the itinerary that we might do a second day just to fit it all in!

We found the first stop to be excellent…..very nice. The second stop was way beyond anyone with breathing problems so we passed on it. The third stop was fine if you’re looking for fresh farm food. The fourth stop was good …unfortunately it’s where I live and I was already familiar with all the stops with in it ……all in all it was fine , I have no complaints and will recommend it to younger people

Nice to Explore a New Area but a bit underwhelming

Firstly, we recommend getting an earlier start to the trip as we left late and felt pressed for time coming from York Region. In 2nd trimester, we were looking for something romantic with nature elements.

We loved the first stop (farthest drive) and would have spent 2-3 hours there exploring. We skipped the 2nd stop because it was very buggy but would likely be beautiful in spring or winter. We also skipped the 3rd stop because we wanted to squeeze in a visit to Langdon Hall or Butterfly Sanctuary kind of nearby (local attractions close at 5 pm). We grabbed a bite at the 4th stop per reco - the town was pretty but a little gritty and abandoned. Lots of walking at each stop possible, but as much as you make it.

Enjoyed the experience but there are likely better experiences out there. We chose this one because we knew we'd never explored the area before.

Hidden Gems

My partner and I loved this as our first Guess Where Trip. Lots of very unique suggestions that you probably wouldn’t have found otherwise.

Love the Concept!

Don't let this review discourage you - our impression might be impacted by the fact that we were very familiar with the area, having lived there some years ago. We would try another Guess Where in a location we had not visited before.

We went on a Wednesday in late May to avoid crowds. We also reversed the stops (4-1) to accommodate our hotel reservation.

The first stop was a place we had lived. The one place we had not visited when we lived there was closed.

The second stop we would never have found on our own. The staff were lovely, we did some sampling and made some purchases, but the kitchen was closed.

The third stop, we got run off by mosquitoes. Not hundreds, THOUSANDS of them. We may go back later because it sounded wonderful.

The 4th stop was nice. We stayed in a recommended hotel, which was unique and very comfortable.

I would have liked more options at each location. I expect, as the company matures, more diverse options will become available and totally eradicate reviews like this.
